Robin Bark studied Art for more than a decade, and has worked in advertising and freelance design as well as teaching and lecturing Design at college and university, including at Goldsmiths' University, London. Fascinated by cars and machines Robin has drawn, painted and played with them for as long as he can remember! This piece is cast in solid aluminium and polished by hand, giving each indivdual characteristics. Produced in very small batches, they are signed and numbered by the artist and presented in a wooden presentation case. On the 30th May 1949, Jaguar XK120 (registration ‘HKV 500’) was taken to the Jabekke-Ostend Highway in Belgium, where Jaguar chief test driver Ron 'Soapy' Sutton achieved a speed of 132.596mph. The piece measures 175mm in length and weighs approximately 750g. It is cast in solid LM6 aluminium, hand polished and presented in a wooden presentation/gift box. Each piece is signed and numbered by the artist, Robin Bark. As they are not mass-produced, please allow 7-10 days for delivery.
